The principles and staff of Value Ag have a strong agricultural base, which combined with our agribusiness and financial knowledge, allows us to better grasp drivers within the food, fiber and fuel value chain from farm to consumer. Cooperative Paddlefish Ranching

Value Ag staff assisted Osage Catfisheries, Inc. in securing over $150,000 in state and federal value added grants. Value Ag staff has been hired to assess the feasibility of establishing mobile processing and marketing of various paddlefish co-products such as flesh, eggs for caviar, and other parts of the fish. This project occurred in 2006 and 2007.

 

Specialty Protein Producers, LLC (SPPLLC)

As the leader in organic soy protein ingredients, SPPLLC sought out Value Ag staff to conduct an economic feasibility study for their planned Nebraska location. In addition, Value Ag staff was again called upon to prepare documentation for a B&I loan guarantee. Projects for SPPLLC were completed in 2006 and 2007.

 

Missouri Rice Project Phase

Value Ag staff was hired to provide a review report for a completed feasibility study and business plan. Value Ag staff turned around the review within ten days of receiving the documents.This project was completed in 2007.

 

MFA Livestock

A feasibility study was completed for MFA Livestock, a producer-owned cooperative headquartered in central Missouri. The assessment of a coordinate beef value chain with source and genetic verified cattle was deemed feasible. Added value to a cow-calf producer was in excess of $25/cwt. In addition, a $100,000 USDA grant was secured. This project concluded in 2006.

 

Missouri Farms Dairy

This dairy is a new generation business that is made up of more than 150 Missouri farmers. This new generation cooperative is situated in Southwest Missouri. Value Ag, LLC. completed a niche cheese processing feasibility assessment and business plan in 2006.

 

Missouri Food  & Fiber

This Harrisonville, MO based cooperative focuses on identity preservation. It is regarded as the world’s largest identity-preserved cooperative and first new-generation marketing cooperative of its kind. Value Ag staff completed an economic feasibility study of a container loading facility. This project concluded in 2005.

 

Southeast Missouri Value Added Cattle Producers

Southeast Missouri Value Added Cattle Producers (SEMOVACP) is a steering committee of independent cow-calf producers, stocker operators and small scale cattle feeders.  Value Ag is currently completing a feasibility study and economic analysis of creating a natural cattle feeding value system that offers opportunities to add value to pasture raised calves through source, age, and process verification.

 

Manure Biomass to Energy

This project specifically deals with Cedar Valley Dairy, LLC., a 2300 dairy cow operation located in Iowa.  Value Ag is currently investigating which biomass-based (manure) energy conversion technology would be most feasible for this Iowa dairy operation to adopt in an effort to reduce costs, improve environmental compliance, and add value to manure nutrients.
